Early Life and Youth
Born on the 24th of November 1975 to DONG Henry TEM and Paulina AMBUNG TEM of Mekaf Village, Henriette was the first of six children (three boys and three girls). She was born in Mile Four Limbe, in the South West Region of Cameroon.
Henriette completed her primary education in Mile Four Limbe in 1988. She attended Government Technical High School Ombe, obtaining a CAP in Shorthand Typist in 1993 and a G.C.E A/Level in Secretarial Administration in 1995, where she was the sole successful candidate for her school.
She was meritoriously admitted into the University Institute of Technology Douala, where she obtained an HND in Bilingual Secretarial Administration in 1998. In 2011, she graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Douala while working full-time.
Career Path
After a series of part-time jobs with SO.NA.RA, CAMTEL, and Group D. SANDJOUN, Henriette secured a permanent job with telecommunications giant MTN Cameroon in 2000. In 2012, she resigned and joined UNICEF Cameroon for temporary assignments before establishing her own individual platform for success, which she worked on until her passing.
Empowerment Efforts
Henriette served as the National President of the Mekaf Women Cultural and Development Association, an organization dedicated to empowering the girl child and supporting development in the Mekaf Village.
She provided shelter for street children and worked to integrate them socially by giving them opportunities to learn a trade and build useful lives for themselves.
Personal Life & Hobbies
Henriette NSHAN TEM was a proud single mother to two children, a boy and a girl. She appeared in several television series under the acting name "Thatcher" and loved singing, writing, and reading. Above all, she was passionate about the happiness of others.
Passing and Legacy
Henriette NSHAN TEM passed on to glory on Saturday, 27 February 2021, at the age of 46 after battling a protracted illness. She was renowned for her work in social affairs and advocacy.
Despite being shunned and stigmatized earlier in her life, she staged a powerful comeback to become a reputable Positive Social Media Influencer and Humanitarian. She won the 2019 Impact Blogger of the Year award for her work in galvanizing support to improve the well-being of internally displaced persons through business, medical care, and education.
