A Christian is a person who receives Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour in their heart and commits to a life of following Christ being led by His Holy Spirit. Just going to church, following Christian rituals, reading the Bible or acting like a Christian does not make one a Christian.
You become a Christian by being born of the Spirit of God not just being born of Christian parents.
