Henriette Thatcher’s Burial Announced!

Cameroonian media personality and blogger, Henrietta ‘Thatcher’ Nshan Tem who died on February 27, will be laid to rest on Saturday on 27 March, in Mekaf village, Menchum Division.

“On Tuesday 23rd of March, there shall be a funeral wake at her residence in Douala. In this light, we encourage all those in Douala to make it for that wake to arrive by 6 pm at her residence behind Marche Tanko gare routier Bonaberi-Douala,” the family announced.

Two days later, the family will congregate at her father’s residence. “On Thursday the 25th, we have a grand wake keep at her father’s residence at mile4 Limbe from 6 pm till dawn. We shall be welcoming all visitors from all over,” the programme notified.

“On Friday the 26th, we shall be removing the corps from the Limbe District hospital mortuary and a requiem mass to be said at St John of God Catholic Church mile 4 Bonadikombo-Limbe at 11 am prompt,” continued the family.

Body viewing will come immediately after the mass, and refreshments will be served at 3 pm. The programme will be concluded by the burial in the afternoon.

“The body shall be taken to the Northwest region Bamenda on Friday 26 at 10 pm in the night. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, the 27th at 3 pm in Mekaf village, Menchum Division.”

Refreshments will be served before congregates depart.

Tuesday 23rd of March 2021
• 6pm - Wake keep without corps at her residence behind Marche Tanko gare routier Bonaberi Douala.
• 8pm - Virtual wake keep to be hosted online by her friends abroad.


Thursday the 25th of March 2021
• 6pm - Grand wake keep without corps at her family residence in Bonadikombo Mile 4 Limbe.


Friday 26th of March 2021
• 10 am - Removal of corps from the Limbe District hospital mortuary and departure to Bonadikombo Mile 4.
• 11 am - Requiem Mass at St John of God Catholic Church Bonadikombo Mile 4 Limbe.
• 2 pm - Laying in state and viewing of her remains at her family residence in Bonadikombo Mile 4 Limbe.
• 10 pm: Departure of remains to Mekaf Village located in Menchum Division North West Region.

Saturday 27th March 2021
10 am - Arrival at Mekaf village, Mass, burial, refreshment and departure.
