Developing An Unconquerable and Prosperous Spirit

Last night my father, Apostle Pride Sibiya, taught on the subject: DEVELOPING AN UNCONQUERABLE (PROSPEROUS) SPIRIT at Glory Covenant Church.

He read from:
3 John 2 “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.” (ESV)

Pro 4:23 “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” (NKJV)

A Human Being Is Made Of Three Components:

1. Body - For relating with the physical world.
2. Soul - For relating with yourself through your emotions.
3. Spirit - For relating with the spiritual world.

Notes By Apostle Farayi Muzari
However, there's a constant warfare between the body and the spirit. The soul acts like the referee. The one who wins is determined by what you feed the most. If you starve yourself going to a boxing match you will be knocked out in the first round. Likewise, if you starve your spirit you will fall at the slightest temptation.

Check how much you spend on the things of God (for your spirit) versus how much you spend on your flesh. The one you are spending more on, is the one that wins the war. You reap what you sow. You can't sow prayer and expect to reap money.

From 3 John 2, God desires that we prosper financially and be in good health. However, there's a condition to that: Prosperity in other areas is directly related to prosperity in our spirits. Thus, as we prosper spiritually, we prosper in our finances, health, etc. We must develop a prosperous spirit.

A prosperous spirit is an unconquerable, indomitable, invincible, undefeatable, strong spirit.
Develping An Unconqourable and Prosperous Spirit

Pro 18:14 says, "A man’s spirit can sustain him during his illness" (ISV)
When you have a strong spirit, nothing moves you from God. You become rooted in Christ and in your church. Gossip will not have any impact on you.

3 Ways To Develop An Unconquerable Spirit (from the life of Jesus):

1. BE A MAN/ WOMAN OF THE HOUSE OF GOD.

As a baby, Jesus was taken to the house of God. At age 12, He remained in the house of God after the Passover feast. At age 30, He had a custom of going to the house of God (Luke 4:16). Church services our spirits. Without servicing our spirits, one day we will have a breakdown.

Be like David who valued the house of God more than his palace:

Psalm 27:4 “One [thing] I have desired from the LORD, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to pray in His temple.”

Psalms 122:1 “I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

The reason:

Psalm 92:13-14 “Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flowering”

The house of God is the gates. In the Bible:

- Gates where a place of commerce.
- Gates where a place where judgments were issued.
(What the servants of God say in church is what stands - prospers. The church isn't just a building but a court)

2. BE A MAN/ WOMAN OF THE WORD.

Jesus was the Word incarnate (John 1). At age 12, He dazzled church elders with His knowledge of the Word. He overcame satan's temptation with the Word (Mat 4). He oozed the Word. What's in you comes out when you are pressed. You must be full of the Word.

The Word of God is a double aged sword (Heb 4:12)
The Word of God is a seed, 'sperma - Gk.' One Word from God can change your life. (Luke 4:18)
The Word of God is your guide (Psa 119:105)
The Word of God makes you to be wise (Psa 119:98)

3. BE A MAN/ WOMAN OF PRAYER.

- Revival won't come without prayer
- Jesus prayed early in the morning Mark 1:35
- He also spent the whole evening praying Luke 6:12-13

(Powerful prayers are made in solitude)

- He prayed in every crucial moment Luke 22:41-42
- His last breath was a prayer Luke 23:46
- Right now, He is interceding for the church Heb 7:25

- "Kana wavekuda kuroorwa ucharoorwa" PUSH! Saying, "Father gad, Father gad," in prayer has no results.

Let's go to these basics and we shall experience real prosperity.
