The 16 Essentials For Dressing For Success

We want to prepare you to be dressed for success using PROVERBS 31 VS 13 - 16 - She seeks wool and flax and works willingly with her hands.

She is like the merchants ships, she brings her food from afar. She rises also while it is yet night, and gives meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considers a field, and buys it, with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard".

Training By Bishop Bernard [Believers World Chapel Women's Business Forum [Part 1]
It is not easy for a woman to go into business but I want to encourage you that this training will prepare you. The Proverbs woman seeks for wool and flax to make her product. In other words she is the manufacturer of her product. The first question you must ask yourself is:

1. What Am I Good At?  I advise you to do business you have a passion for as you are going to do it willingly and to perfection levels. You can easily become a specialist or expert in that business because you enjoy spending time working.

This brings me to my second point:

2. Know Your Vessels: Vessels are your skills and talent. If you are a cook your product must have a unique recipe that noone can do or copy such that the delicious taste attracts customers to you. Create a need for customers so that they choose your product or service.

3. How Many Vessels Do you have? The more expertise you have the better you become against your competitors. You could be a teacher, a doctor or a lawyer - what is important is how clients assess the results of your work. If you do an excellent job they will come back to you but if they are not satisfied they will run away to another supplier.

4. Choose to Become A Specialist: What category of a lawyer are you? Do you social, criminal, politics or civil cases. If you are a medical doctor - is it for children pediatric or pregnancy gynologist or physiotherapy or optician or dentist. This gives you room to grow and expand.

5. Enhance your Education: Hebrews 11 say Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. This encourages us to work hard so as to achieve our dreams or desires or goals.

6. Go Beyond Your Sphere: Verse 15 says she is like merchants who bring ships with food from afar. Do research work to find where there is need for your product and go there.

7. Be Connected: Get into joint ventures or partnership with someone who has other resources you do not have. If you need transport for your goods team up with someone with a vehicle instead of hiring. Choose people who believe in your business and those you can trust but are also influential.

8. Do Business with Integrity: Earn trust and respect from your customers by delivering the right product or services according to their specifications and requirements at the right time.

9. Treat Every customer with Respect: Know that your own business is your employment that generates money for you. If you lose clients you lose money.

10. Your Customers are your Advertising Agents: Give your customers an excellent product or best service to win their confidence. Then they will in turn refer other people to do business with you. Your good name will earn you more business.

11. Communication is Very Important: Always information has to flow between you and your clients. Feed them so that they feed you back in order to come out with a perfect product. Understand what your customer requirements are through communicating with them and comply accordingly otherwise you supply the wrong thing. Talk to your customers explaining why you are delaying but this should be avoided always.

12. Do not be Greedy: Be realistic when you give prices otherwise you lose customers. Quick gains are short lived but maintain your customers for the survival of your business. Remember the word of God says "the love of money is the root of all evil". Greediness can kill your business.

13. Respect Money for your Business: When you earn money from your business treat the money with integrity so that it revolves in the business adding more value to your business. So do not divert business money to cater for your daily household needs. It is advisable that you give yourself some salary. Do not allow your personal needs to interfere or disturb the flow of your business. Seperate them.

14. Make good Investments: Out of your profits invest money as these savings will be used to expand your business and improve your life style. Sacrifice today so that you reap a bumper harvest in future.

15. Good Attitude towards Customers: Have confidence with your product when you approach customers so that you convince them it is the best and right thing they want. A good example is Apostle Steve who goes around preaching the word of God and praying for people. He has faith in God and by so doing he has won many lost souls to Jesus Christ. Be honest to your customers and your product must prove what you say is true.

16. Good Packaging or Presentation of Product: Packaging for your product is important as it gives the first impression to clients. It can be a delicious meal but if served in a dirty plate with cracks it makes the customer lose appetite. The outside cover of your product must be attractive to lure your clients. Avoid losing customers because generally people judge the contents of a book by its cover.
