He was mentored by his spiritual father – a pioneer of the Pentecostal Movement in Zimbabwe – Apostle Dr Abel K Sande – the founder and President of the Ambassadors for Christ Ministries International, serving under him for 14 years.
Bishop Nelson Nzvimbo, the last born in a family hailing from Mrehwa was born in 1966 – and married to Miriam. The couple is blessed with two children, Natasha – a great singer and Nelson – a gifted drummer.
Humble rise: In 1984, Bishop Nzvimbo was born again. A year later, he was appointed a Pastor in Mangumba village – Mrewha. His graceful rise saw him appointed a provincial Evangelist by his Provincial Overseer.
The humble servant was then tutored and raised by his overseer to become a model, humble Apostle of God he is presently.
Equipped with a robust apostolic ministry, he is used mightily by God in laying apostolic foundations into believers’ lives and various churches.
A prolific speaker on grand occasions, Bishop Nzvimbo travels to Australia, South Africa and around Zimbabwe to speak on leadership seminars, crusades and conferences in addition to overseeing various churches in many nations.
Ordained with a passion to discover, develop and practically empower believers into God’s Kingdom, he has partnered Campus Crusade for Christ (Life Ministry Zimbabwe) as an associate staff, journeying countrywide, Japan, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda on training missions in Transformational Leadership Movements.
What is Ablaze? In November 1999, the servant of God was called to start Ablaze International Ministries Inc. Ablaze Churches International is headquartered in Chitungwiza – Harare’s dormitory town of Harare.
Currently, he oversees four churches in Zimbabwe and one based in Burgersfort, South Africa. Ablaze encompasses Holy Ghost School of Ministry (HGSM), which has seen an average of 15 Students from different churches graduate yearly with Diplomas in Christian Leadership.
Knowing the church in our nation to be God loving under the leadership of Christ, our purpose is to bring the gospel of Salvation through our Lord Jesus preached in the power of the Holy Ghost starting from our community, cities and worldwide.
Ablaze aims to make the gospel of Jesus Christ available communities; teach the tenets of the gospel; enhance moral training through bible teaching; satisfy the spiritual in our community and provide solace for the troubled, among other tenets.
The church operates under the motto: Discovering, developing and empowering the believer.
Iron Sharpens Iron (ISI) Iron Sharpens Iron is a ministry under Ablaze International Ministries aimed at Christian leaders, bringing them together for Sharpening and Encouraging them to stand firm God’s gifts and calling (1 Thessalonians 5:24)
The conference also unifies the Christian community as one body of Christ (Ephesians 4:1-7). In addition, it supports builds, correct, and grooming Christian leaders.
The 2017 ISI conference is themed: Provoking the Leader unto Love and Good Works (Hebrews 10:24) – commencing February 25, 2017.
