Call me an uninformed vendor, but did I ever hear mention of 'Cecil The Lion' when he was alive? The answer is No!
Why one may ask, given my daily fights with trying to put food on my children's table, clothing them and educating them, who has time for a fearsome beast.
Aren't my struggles to have a place on a small part of the pavement in
one of Harare's busy streets worthy of a few lines in the international
tabloids. No! The king of the jungle takes precedence.
The closest I have ever gotten to 'Hwange National Park' was through a geography text book at high school. Can you therefore accuse me of ignorance of a lion called Cecil!
