Reality show star turned actress, Maneta Mazhani’s, acting career is soaring to greater heights as she made a cameo appearance on South African soapie, Rhythm City.The actress made it to last Wednesday’s episode as a possible love interest for the show’s jovial character Fats, played by actor Mpho Moleko.
It is still unclear whether the ever glowing Maneta will have a longer running role on the show, with efforts to get a comment from her or her management hitting a brick wall.
The former Big Brother Africa Zimbabwe representative has been making inroads on the continental film stage, bagging roles across the continent as she capitalises on the fame from her stay on the reality show.
Last year the Bulawayo- born beauty landed a role on popular soapie Isidingo as the secretary of Nandi, Jefferson Sibeko’s receptionist.
“I acted in three Nigerian movies which are yet to be released. I can’t say much on my roles in these movies because my directors advised me not to say much until the productions are finished. But when it’s done, I will share it on Twitter. It is a continuous contract and I am still shooting,” she said in earlier interviews available online.
