LAST Wednesday afternoon at Sobukhazi High School, Bulawayo, two form four pupils, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were caught having s3x by a junior pupil who had heard sounds.
“It seems as if it was not the first time something like this was happening as other pupils were going about their business as if nothing was amiss,” said a source.
The junior pupil however rushed to alert a teacher and the following day, the school’s headmistress, Thatho Sikosana, had a meeting with the pupils’ parents.
The offending pupils have now been suspended for two weeks.
The incident comes two weeks after a Form Three pupil at the same school gave birth to a baby boy in a school toilet and tried to hide it.
The pupil carried the pregnancy to full term without authorities being aware of it.
On the fateful day, she asked to be excused so that she could visit the toilet after telling the teacher she was having stomach cramps.
Teachers later heard the baby crying behind the toilets.
Pupils who suspected she was the mother alerted school authorities and she made the admission after being interrogated.
The girl and her baby were rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital.
