The Upcoming Designers Battle is a brainchild of Emerge Fashion Show which is running in conjunction with Yolk Festival and Jerome Wear.
The 2019 Yolk Festival is a unique event that is dedicated to celebrating art and culture, attracting thousands of people in and around Zimbabwe. The Yolk Festival is a program of Yolk Magic a perpetual awareness campaign drive flagship initiative of Yolk.
Through live arts entertainment programs, exhibitions, business, cultural and social forums; Yolk Festival engages ordinary citizens, government, and civic society; and community, political, traditional and religious leaders to address social ills affecting our society and showcasing the socio-economic beauty that emanates from the backyards of our society.
The aim of the battle is to encourage and give upcoming designers a learning platform as they will also take notes from some of the most renowned Fashion Designers in and around Zimbabwe.
The Upcoming Designers Battle winner will get the chance to learn and acquire knowledge from big and already established fashion designers.
Taping from great fashion designers will help boost the winner's confidence and thus enable them to advance their creativity. All aspiring designers will be required to pay registration to participate.
Aspiring designers will be allowed to bring their models if they are confident that their models are groomed enough to walk on the runway. If you need a model, Emerge Fashion Festival will provide one. Entrance to the event is free of charge.
