The law of potential states that everything that is seen, once existed in potential form, what is not seen is more powerful than what you see and the things that are seen are fewer than the things that are not seen. What is seen is not all there is.
Potential is all you can be but have not yet become, all you can do but have not yet done, how far you can reach but have not yet reached, It is unearthed and dormant ability and latent power.
Kingdom prosperity comes from the understanding that the creator works by a principle of the seed. When you look at a seed, let’s take a mango seed, you may see a useless piece of matter but small as it may be, you will be carrying a forest of mango trees. Inside it is a tree which has many mango fruits with many mango trees in them that have many mango fruit with many mango seeds...and on and on. All is in a single seed in potential form. This is what potential can be and do.
If you believe so much in potential that you plant whatever seeds that you have planted before, be it maize, wheat or whatever and you invest resources and time to weed, fertilize believing a harvest will come out of it how come you do not believe you carry much more potential than plants. With time and a bit more investment of resources and effort your potential can take you well beyond what you can imagine.
The last law that we talked about was The Law of the Source which states that, “Everything is as resourced and capacitated as its Source and the value of a thing is derived from its source.” so since our source is God himself l wonder what kind of potential you carry. Kingdom prosperity is realized when you know that you have all that is needed to prosper and it is inside of you.
As we go further we need to know that just like a seed, potential cannot be affected by the environment. If you leave a seed on the floor for 10 years it will carry the same potential. If you put a mango seed in dirt at a dumping site it will not produce dirt but what is inside. This is why you see successful people have come from different backgrounds and situations but still come out successful. No one is born without potential but many are conditioned to believe they don’t have it.
The enemy of destiny cannot take away your potential but he will do his best to work on your attitude and belief on potential. The avenue that the devil used to attack the first man was an attack on potential. Let us look at his words when he deceived the first family,
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (Genesis 3:5)
The devil made the first woman to doubt that they were already like God, yet God had made mankind in His image after His likeness. Mankind failed to recognize the Law of potential and hence was deceived. Mankind doubted that they were already like God and thought that they needed something from somewhere to be like God.
They compared themselves to God who had manifested His potential, with nothing attributed to them they were like God but had to bring out their potential. God had unearthed His potential with so much work of creation to his name, looking at themselves they thought that they were not like God. The first family failed to realize that at one time the only being and thing that existed was God, when there was nothing. All creation was at one time in God in potential form when there was nothing to show. Being in God's image they had to exploit their potential to realize that they were already like God.
In like manner the devil has managed to keep you down because he has capitalized on our failure to recognize the law of potential. Look at every of your celebrities, they are not bigger or better than you. It’s not that they have what you do not have. You are not inferior to them so that you can surrender to the thought that they were lucky and things worked for them. They just unearthed and exploited their potential. Do not fall to the devil and think that you have to compromise on your integrity and acquire something from somewhere.
People who have achieved greatness are in no way better and superior than you. Cheer up, you carry equal potential, God's capacity. Scientists say that the person who used most of their brain capacity and potential used just 11%. His name was Albert Einstein. They have kept his brains in a lab and as they examined his brain they discovered that it was not bigger than anyone’s or any different but, the number of brain cells that had been connected was more than any that they had come across implying that it just had been used more than any other.
Let’s go back to our maker and learn from him to maximize on our potential, only Him has done it before, bringing out all his potential.
