Party spokesperson Rugare Gumbo told journalists after the party’s politburo meeting that the matter will be discussed next Wednesday after secretary for women’s affairs Oppah Muchinguri requested for more time to wrap up her report.
The meeting of the politburo, the party’s highest decision making body, had been expected to touch on the issue of Mujuru who has been urged by Mugabe’s wife, Grace, to apologize or resign over alleged corruption and for plotting to out Mugabe from power.
The Zimbabwean First Lady made damning allegations against Mujuru during her recent nationwide rallies to thank supporters for nominating her to the post of women’s league secretary.

She will be appointed to the post at the elective congress in December and will become a member of the politburo.
Grace accused Mujuru of fanning factionalism within the party, engaging in corrupt activities and trying to topple Mugabe from power, among other allegations.
Mujuru has not responded to the allegations.
Gumbo told journalists that congress dates had been moved forward from the second week of December to Dec. 2 to 7.

He said the congress will be held under the theme: “Accelerated implementation of ZimAsset”. ZimAsset is the country’s five-year economic blueprint running up to 2018.
“People will await report of the secretary for women’s affairs and that will open the debate on what has happened,” Gumbo said.
