'Makandiwa must not be mistaken about our determination' - Job Sikhala

Controversial MDC-T politician Job Sikhala he and party leader Morgan Tsvangirai among other senior officials will lead from the front in planned demonstrations against government to address the country's economic crisis.

On Tuesday, United Family International Church founder Emmanuel Makandiwa predicted bloodshed in the country and most people took to the social media speculating that the prophecy referred to a harsh police response to MDC-T protests.

Sikhala however said Makandiwa must not be mistaken about their determination as they were prepared to die.

"We are all ready. We will be leading from the front. My president Morgan Tsvangirai, myself, Nelson Chamisa, Amos Chibaya, Abednigo Bhebhe, Chalton Hwende, Douglas Mwonzora and those who wish to be party to this revolution," said Sikhala.

"We are prepared to die. So Prophet Makandiwa must not be mistaken about our determination. Watch as events unfold."

Zimbabwe Defence Forces Commander General Constantine Chiwenga has also warned that the army would not sit back in the face of an "insurgency"

Tsvangirai's spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka last week said Tsvangirai's political decisions would not be bound by the prophetic word although the former Premier was a Christian who respected the Man of God.

Tamborinyoka said Makandiwa's prophecy could be referring to bloody succession wars in President Robert Mugabe's Zanu PF.
