An venom-filled statement has been released by Prophet T.B. Joshua on his official Facebook Page. The celebrated man of God was breathing fire while denying the rumour circulated across the nation alleging that he prophesied the imminent downfall of three prominent Zimbabwean prophets.
"Good morning, people of Zimbabwe," the strongly worded statement begins.
"Our attention has been drawn to false rumours spread by the father of lies currently being circulated around Zimbabwe. The reward of liars is destruction."
Shockingly, Prophet TB Joshua who is also believed by millions of Africans to be a false prophet himself, however decided to curse those behind the said prophecy.
Prophet TB Joshua who has since been banned from visiting Cameroon on allegations of being a false prophet said whoever is behind such rumours in Zimbabwe would attract a curse and God's wrath, The SCOAN insisted the popular Nigerian cleric never gave the message attributed to him in a WhatsApp message that went viral.
"Prophet T.B. Joshua can NEVER and he will NEVER give such a message because our God is not the God of confusion," the message on Joshua's Facebook page followed by 1.5 million people reads.
"We should be very careful not to touch an anointed man of God and lie against him," he threatened while misquoting the real meaning of 1 Chronicles 16 verse 18-22, whose purpose was for God to protect the Israelites during that specific moment when they were coming out of Egypt, passing through different nations on their way to Canaan, the promised land. The "protection order" found in 1 Chronicle 16 vs 22 however ceased to be effective the moment Israelites reached Canaan. This is the reason why God allowed other prophets and apostles, including John the baptist and most of Jesus' disciples to be killed and harmed by non-believers.
Prophet TB Joshua' statement concluded with an advice not to jump to hasty conclusions based on hearsay.
"Do not sit somewhere, hear this or that and come to a hasty conclusion. God requires that we find out the truth from Him first and hold fast to that which is true, as the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:21. God bless Zimbabwe."
After the circulation of the message, it was widely thought that the three prophets in question referred to Uebert Angel, Emmanuel Makandiwa and Walter Magaya.
Hundreds of comments from Zimbabweans flooded Joshua's Facebook page, thanking him for the clarification and bemoaning the source of the rumour who was clearly out to 'bring disunity in the body of Christ'.
